Specifically designed to provide a base of confidence and fundamental skills to build on. This entry-level course focuses on providing you with the essential skills and knowledge to handle a pistol safely and effectively This course is ideal for new gun owners, individuals looking to refresh their basic pistol skills, or anyone interested in learning gun safety and operation from the ground up. No prior experience is necessary Objectives: • Safety First: Understand and implement basic firearm safety rules to ensure safe handling at all times. This will include a comprehensive overview of the four primary rules of firearm safety as well as range safety and etiquette • Loading and Unloading: Learn how to correctly load your pistol, engage the safety mechanisms, and safely unload the weapon • Holstering and Drawing: Master the fundamentals of holstering your pistol and drawing it smoothly and safely in various scenarios • Aiming Techniques: Grasp the basics of pistol aiming, including stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control to improve accuracy • Malfunction Clearing: Practical exercises to learn how to diagnose and clear typical pistol malfunctions safely and efficiently Equipment: Participants must arrive with their equipment, including UNLOADED firearms and ammo safely stored in a hard case or range bag • Quality functional semi-automatic pistol - Only full-size and compact pistols • 3 magazines • Sturdy belt at least 1.5" wide • Magazine pouch • Dominant side, hip-mounted or belt-mounted holster (Outside the waistband holsters ONLY) • Targets will be provided Safety Gear: • Wraparound eyewear with polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses. • Electronic hearing protection is recommended, or use both earmuffs and earplugs. • Water & Food/Snacks, as we will take a short (30 minute) lunch break. Ammunition: • Estimated round count: 250 rounds pistol, Please bring only factory loaded ammo, excluding steel cased ammo. Apparel: • Long pants with pockets (Jeans / BDU Style) and belt loops • Shirt such as Polo, T-shirt or button-up shirt (no low-cut neckline or tank tops) • Closed-toe boots, sneakers or comfortable shoes (no flip flops or sandals) • Wind Breaker/light rain jacket. Certification: Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion, indicating they have been trained in basic pistol safety and operation.

Cancellations or Transfers GREATER Than 14 Days Before Start Date Students canceling more than 14 days before the start date of the course will receive a FULL REFUND. Course/Event Cancellations or Transfers LESS Than 14 Days Before Start Date Students canceling less than 14 days before the start date of the course/event will receive a PARTIAL REFUND of 75% of the fee paid.
